Development

“To defend the Catholic faith and make all things new in Christ” was the task that St. Pius X set for himself. His motto, “To renew all things in Christ,” was the guiding principle of his papacy and he touched many lives in fulfilling his mission.

The legacy begun by Pope St. Pius X, our patron, is one we endeavor to support and carry on through our apostolate of education, in all its forms – in our parish school, in our religious programs and in our extracurricular activities, but we only do this as a community.  There are many opportunities to share your time and gifts to help St. Pius X School continue to provide a quality elementary education where children will thrive spiritually, socially, and academically by instilling Catholic values and Christ-like living.  Through persons connected to us, as parents, alumni, friends of our mission and donors, you take part in this mission.  The Development Office, housed in the main office of the school, under the direction of Sister Mary Jane McDonnell, IHM, seeks to involve parents, parishioners and our community in daily happenings of our school.

St. Pius X School Development office is committed to helping to provide funding resources to help with the financial needs and build community relationships among our supporters in order to maintain the highest quality Catholic education in a Christ-centered, safe, challenging and loving environment in Norfolk. The opportunities for our stakeholders to share time, talent and treasure include: Annual Appeal, Major Gifts, Grant Writing, Alumni Support, Marketing, Auction, Race for Education, Golf Outing, various Committees, and Public and Community Relations.

St. Pius X School is a private school in the Diocese of Richmond. As a non-profit organization, we depend on our fundraisers to help aid in funding operational expenses in order to keep tuition affordable for our families. At the same time, we set high standards in our spiritual, relational and educational goals, as testified by over 50 years of successful graduates who carry the word of their learning and the Word of God across the nation and the globe.

We are all called by God to be good stewards of what he has given us. Please prayerfully consider how you would like to donate your time, talent or treasure to St. Pius X School. Whatever you can do for us at this time will help us continue to prepare students to strive for excellence spiritually, academically, physically and socially, and to be lifelong learners with strong Catholic values.
