NEWS AND EVENTS

On behalf of the faculty and staff at St. Pius X Catholic School, let me wish you all a Happy Easter and a great Easter Break!    Please stay safe whether you travel or remain in the area.  I look forward to seeing you all back at school on April 12.   God Bless.  – Mr. Zafra

 

St Pius X Extracurricular Sports will continue in April (April 19th to April 30th).  This month’s activity will be racket sports (badminton, tennis, and table tennis).  Students will learn new games, socialize with classmates, and work-up a sweat!  Middle school students will meet on Tuesday’s from 3:30 to 4:15 pm and 4th and 5th graders will meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:15 pm.  Space is limited to only 15 students per a time slot.  If interested please email Mrs. Lomogda, slomogda@piusxparish.org

Social Distancing Guidelines will be followed, students will be separated  by grade level, every student will have their own racket and games will be non-contact.  This activity is for Virtual and Face to Face 4th-8th graders, younger siblings will have to be picked up at normal dismissal time.  Virtual students that would like to participate will work on skill sets at home.  Parents will have to pick up students at the gym door, Mrs. Lomogda is asking parents to stay in their vehicles and she will bring your student out to you.  Please feel free to contact Mrs. Lomogda with any questions or concerns.

CLINIC NEWS

2021-2022 Immunization Requirements for rising Kindergarten and 7th grade students:
7th graders must have the Tdap and the MenACWY vaccine prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Rising Kindergarten students must have their 4 yr. old shots, 2nd MMR, 2nd Chickenpox vaccine, and school physical prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Daily Health ChecksFor the health and safety of our school community, please keep your child(ren) home if anyone in your household isn’t feeling well.


ADMISSIONS AND FINANCE NEWS

Facts Re-enrollment is now open through FACTS.  There is an increased interest in SPX School by new families and classes are filling up.  Please understand that your child’s spot in a classroom this year does not guarantee their enrollment for next year.   You must complete the re-enrollment through FACTS to secure a space for your child for the 2021-2022 school year.  For questions, contact Mrs. Burfield at kburfield@piusxparish.org.
